How to Choose a Natural Stone Bracelet

Choosing a natural stone bracelet starts with three things: the colours you enjoy wearing, the size and shape of the beads, and the fit you prefer. Use this guide to compare a few designs, then check the details on the individual product page.

Our collections also include mother of pearl, coconut shell and wood. These materials bring their own textures to a bracelet, so look at the full material list as well as the collection name.

1. Start with colour and contrast

Think about the clothes, watch or jewellery you wear most often. A bracelet in a similar palette can feel understated; a contrasting colour can make it more noticeable.

  • Deep red-brown: red tiger's eye offers a darker palette with shifting bands of light.
  • Green and wood: seraphinite and sandalwood pair a patterned green stone with warm wood tones.
  • Muted brown: smoky quartz and brown eye agate put the emphasis on individual bead patterns.
  • Golden tones: citrine and yellow tiger's eye bring honey and golden-brown colours together.
  • Luminous white: mother of pearl and coconut shell combine a lighter colour with warm natural texture.

There is no single colour you need to choose. Start with one you would enjoy wearing regularly, then compare the details that make each design different.

2. Compare bead size and shape

Bead size describes the beads, not the length of the bracelet. In our Five Gods of Wealth collection, the listed sizes range from 6 mm beads to 12 × 8.5 mm barrel-shaped beads.

If you are comparing 6 mm and 8 mm beads, the 6 mm option is smaller. The overall look still depends on the shape, number of strands and decorative details. A two-part measurement such as 12 × 8.5 mm describes a shaped bead and should not be read as a 12 mm round bead.

Look at both the dimensions and the product photographs. A smaller bead can suit a subtler look, while a more pronounced shape can become the focus of an outfit.

3. Find a design to explore

These five bracelets offer different combinations of colour, material and bead size:

You can compare all five in the Five Gods of Wealth collection, or browse all bracelets for other colours and designs.

4. Choose your fit using your actual wrist measurement

For bracelets with our wrist-measurement selector, enter your actual wrist circumference in centimetres or inches. Do not add extra room to the measurement. Then choose how you want the bracelet to sit:

  • Tight: a close fit with very little movement.
  • Standard: an everyday fit with a little movement.
  • Loose: a relaxed fit with more room to move.

For example, if your wrist measures 16 cm and you want a little movement, enter 16, select cm and choose Standard. Your wrist measurement is not the finished bracelet length.

Follow our bracelet sizing guide for measuring instructions. Check the individual listing: some pieces have a fixed total length rather than the same sizing arrangement.

5. Leave room for personal meaning

A collection story can help you choose between two designs you already like. You can also choose a bracelet simply for its materials and appearance. Our cultural references are design inspiration, rather than promises of a particular outcome.

If you are buying a gift, start with the recipient's usual colours and style. Get their wrist measurement where possible, and contact us before ordering if you are unsure about sizing.

Before you decide, review the product's materials and dimensions, your measurement and fit choice, and our FAQs for delivery and return information.
